General Terms And Conditions Applicable To All Tours/Safaris
Lets Go Adventures (Pty)Ltd is a subsidiary tour operating company under the registered company name BR Consulting(Pty)Ltd registration number 2015/273281/07. The acronym definition “LGA” referred to elsewhere in it’s below-mentioned General Terms and Conditions means “Lets Go Adventures(Pty)Ltd which includes all it’s contracted agents/sub-contractors “., and is applicable to all it’s respective tours and safaris.
1. General terms and conditions:
- Tour Package Prices:
- LGA’s respective tour package prices are based on the fundamentals of global economic indices, and depending on fluctuations in the market are subject to change without prior
- The rate of approved foreign exchange currency will be applied by LGA’s banker at the time of receipt of payment from the client, and the principle of any foreign exchange rate fluctuations which incur any additional costs impacting negatively on the tour price will apply and be for the account of the client.
- Indemnity:
- LGA is indemnified of any responsibility of any claim by the client for any damage, loss or injury which may be incurred by the traveler. Insurance cover taken by the client for any such claims against personal loss or injury and including cancellations is
- Transportation:
- LGA reserves the right to utilize the necessary appropriate vehicle transport on it’s scheduled tours considering the necessary number of travelers.
- LGA reserves the right to sub-contract substitute vehicles in the event of an emergency etc. The substitute vehicle will be in accordance of the same standard as LGA’s vehicles . Should the client however wish to exercise the right to acquire his/her own independent substitute vehicle, this will be at his/her own expense in the event of a LGA substitute vehicle not being acquired for any reason. In such an event of an independent substitute vehicle being acquired by the client the client will by formal agreement enter into an agreement with the independent substitute vehicle operator, and as such indemnify LGA of any responsibility whatsoever against any claim of loss or damage arising from driving of such an independent substituted vehicle.
- Cancellation Policy :
- All booking cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee as LGA’s cancellation policy .
- Insurance:
- Personal and cancellation insurance cover is recommended on departure.
- Accommodation:
- Accommodation as specified on the itinerary is subject to availability, and LGA reserves the right to make use of alternative accommodation in the event of it becoming necessary to do so.
- Children:
- All multi- day tours/safaris are for persons 8 years of age and above.
- Full adult accommodation rates including all services provided will be applicable for persons 8 years and above.
- The maximum persons below 12 years of age sharing with two adults sharing is 1 only where permitted, and needs to be verified during bookings made.
- Children occupying their own room will be charged similarly in accordance with full adult rates.
- Certain camps, lodges, and hotels refuse to accept children below the minimum age of twelve years of age, and requires to be verified during bookings made.
- Certain open safari vehicle game drive age restrictions is below the age of 12 year of age or less, and needs to be verified during bookings.
- Children travelling : The compliance of the unabridged birth certificate requirements by the South African Authorities for all children under the minimum age of 18 years of age travelling to and from the Republic of South Africa, which was promulgated effective from 1 June,2015 as follows: The unabridged birth certificate must reflect the full names and surname of the respective parents. Children travelling with only one parent, or other person, or where both parents are deceased ,must be in possession of an affidavit from the remaining parents or guardian permitting them to travel, or alternatively a copy of the deceased persons death certificate where applicable.
2. MULTI-DAY TOURS/SAFARIS – Private and Customised:
- All scheduled tour departures and arrivals are approximate, and subject to change depending on weather pattern conditions, etc. The necessary details will be confirmed on finalization of the booking.
- The luggage allowance is 1x medium bag and hand luggage per person.
- It is highly recommended that clients take adequate personal and cancellation insurance cover.
- Valuables and travel documents to be safely kept at all times.
- LGA will accept no liability for claims against any loss, or damages with respect to personal property, or documents incurred to clients.
- A minimum of a 50 percent deposit of the value of a tour price is required when securing a booking. The balance of the outstanding tour price is to be paid during a minimum period of 45 days before tour departure. Payments are preferably requested to be made via Electronics Funds Transfer (EFT) or otherwise arranged to LGA’s account holder’s bank.
- All cash payments are to be made in South African Rands or by other alternative arrangement.
- A 100 percent tour price will be forfeited in terms of “No Shows”.
- Cancellations prior to tour departures:
- 0-45 days: 100 percent.
- 45-60 days: 20 percent.
- 60 days or more: 10 percent administration fee.
- Activity cancellation: 10 percent refund.
- Airfare bookings on request are subject to the respective airline terms and conditions.
- Cancellation fees imposed by other service providers eg hotels, National parks etc will be applicable if non-aligned with the cancellation fees specified herein.
- Travelers ore non-exempt from the cancellation terms in terms of the non-issuing of an invoice or non-payment of a deposit.
3. DAY TOURS/SAFARIS: Private and Customised:
- Private and Custom day tours are discreetly handled with no strangers travelling.
- Scheduled collection times will be suggested by LGA unless otherwise arranged with the client.
- LGA will accept no liability for claims against any loss, or damages with respect to personal property, or documents incurred to clients.
- It is strongly advised that clients take adequate personal and cancellation insurance cover .
- A minimum of a 50 percent deposit of the value of a tour price is required when securing a booking. The balance of the outstanding tour package value is to be paid during a minimum period of 45 days before tour departure. Payments are preferably requested to be made via Electronics Funds Transfer (EFT) or otherwise arranged to LGA’s account holder’s bank.
- Special rates apply in most case for children 0-11 years of age, however on certain game drives especially on open safari vehicles, the minimum age is 11 years old and needs to be verified during bookings.
- All cash payments are to be made in South African Rands or by other alternative arrangement.
- Last minute booking cash payments are to be strictly made to the tour guide prior to departure of the tour or by other special agreed arrangement:
- Cancellations prior to tour departures:
- 0-45 days: 100 percent.
- 45-60 days: 20 percent.
- 60 days or more: 10 percent administration fee.
- Activity cancellation: 10 percent refund. Airfare bookings on request are subject to the respective airline terms and conditions
- Cancellation fees imposed by other service providers due to more stringent penalties eg hotels, National parks etc will be applicable if non-aligned with the cancellation fees specified herein
- Travelers are non-exempt from the cancellation terms in terms of the non-issuing of an invoice or non-payment of a deposit.
